IPT
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is a time-limited, evidence-based approach that focuses on the relationship between your emotional wellbeing and the quality of your relationships and social functioning. Rather than focusing heavily on the past, IPT works in the present — exploring how your current relationships, communication patterns, and life transitions may be contributing to emotional distress. It is particularly effective for depression, grief, relationship conflicts, and major life changes such as loss, divorce, or relocation.
How IPT Works in Practice
Over the course of our sessions, we'll identify the interpersonal issue most connected to your current distress and work on it directly. You'll develop stronger communication skills, learn to express your needs more clearly, and build more satisfying relationships — all of which have a measurable impact on mood and overall wellbeing. IPT is typically delivered over 12–16 sessions, and its structured nature means you'll notice progress at each stage of the process.
